There’s no doubt, children and teens will play a huge role in what we have decided to deliver to our community through the Unwritten: Life Illuminated movement and later our exciting future event!

Several writers have over the centuries adapted the phrase in a usage that has come merely to mean "from an unlikely or surprising source.”

We can also point out the biblical origin of the phrase ‘Out of the Mouths of Babes', referring to the provenance of strength - Psalms 8:2, "Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength", but we would be remiss if we didn’t also want, through our community movement, to encourage all adults to child-like-ness!

How often are you just absolutely flabbergasted at things your child might say? We’re going to guess it happens often. Children frequently unexpectedly say things which are very intelligent or wise! Their guileless dependence can sometimes make us miss the fact that we can learn so much through their words and actions about life in general. We don’t want you to miss out on all the great things all children can teach us!

How many times do you relay stories about the funny things that come out of your child’s mouth so unexpectedly? One teacher relayed that a student of hers, as he was removing his glasses in her math class, said: “Oh, I can’t wear my new glasses in your class because it’s math. The doctor said they’re just for reading.” We couldn't be more pleased with the kids who participated in our unique production of Out of the Mouths of Babes! Some of these children have been selected to be featured at our live show of Out of the Mouths of Babes at our Unwritten: Life Illuminated event on the big stage! Each of the children selected to appear in the live stage show will receive an Unwritten - Life Illuminated Swag Bag valued at $50 for their participation!
